How I get my life together after a vacation trip

It's been a while... Like more than a while...

I haven't decided yet how I want to move with this blog, but what I know for now is that I want to write about my life and how I incorporate knitting with my schedule...

We had been on vacation... Actually visiting my partner's family (blog with photos coming soon)

It was a fortnight trip and we had good time...

One thing I know when visiting either my family or his, is that we come back with goods... Lots and lots of them...

We went by car and it was a long drive, so the day of our return I did the bare minimum...

I put things in the fridge and freezer (so they don't get bad) and I prepared the first load of laundry. In Greece we don't - normally - use drier and I wanted to have the first load ready for the next morning. Our laundry machine has a feature that you can schedule the load to happen later and I used that to have them ready when I wake up.

And that was about it... I had a shower, a light dinner and went straight to bed.

Did I have a good night sleep? Nope... Usually I don't. But it doesn't matter.

The next morning, I hang the clothes to dry and started emptying the suitcases. I put the clean clothes back to their place and took care of any food I didn't the previous night.

It was a slow day, but a productive one. I had a huge to-do list, mostly because I broke things into smaller pieces, and managed to finish a lot of them.

Did I do everything? Nope... I still haven't.

I have 3 more loads of laundry and I haven't put everything back to its place but it doesn't, actually, matter. There are a few thing I need to organize, but I will do it at my own pace and don't push myself too hard.

I try to get back to my routines (and it started going well) and I take things slowly.

And a routine of mine is to knit in the evenings for (at least) an hour. It helps me relax and unwind.

Do you have a routine when it comes to a vacation return?

That's it for today... I'll talk to you next time
