I finished a trilogy...
It took me a while, I have to admit, but I feel that we read for pleasure not because we have to and I don't want to push myself hard to do something I enjoy...My honest and personal opinion on the trilogy...
I really liked that it was not the same "crime" on all the three books... It had to do with different things happening, plus the main story of the different characters...
I liked that, the way it connected the main story, was not boring or expect-able. It was not just "good guys-bad guys" and it was not anything like "good wins - bad loses" clear kind of situation.
The way the author created the characters was real, not one-dimentioned and they had multiple sides and ethical/moral contestations.
The down side was the end of the third book. I felt that the author just needed to fill the pages, just to write a little bit more and I felt that they were trying to force the emotion.
Overall a very good trilogy, a very good plot and characters real with their questions and their ethics.
I would suggest it to more than those who like crime books, but keep in mind that (if you "take" things inside) it might be a little overwhelming. I am not like that and I didn't mind.
I really enjoyed it and hopefully the author will write another trilogy like this one...
I would like to know your opinion...
Have you read any or all the books?
Was it enjoyable?
Was it "heavy"?
Also, I would love any suggestions on books to read and review...
